Peter Navarro Says GOP Must Move Forward With Trump's Plan

( – Donald Trump re-entered life as a private citizen on January 20, 2021. A few Republican leaders, like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), have ended their support for him since the Capitol protests and following impeachment.

According to a February 17 article from The Epoch Times, Former Trump advisor Dr. Peter Navarro spoke out about the future of the Republican Party during an interview on Steve Bannon’s “War Room.”

Navarro reportedly said the party needs to continue to promote Trump’s plan to “Make America Great Again” (MAGA). He added that the key to Trump’s success and that of the Republican Party was his ability to transform the GOP into the party of working-class Americans.

Continuing, Navarro said McConnell and others want to turn their backs on the guiding principles of the MAGA movement — securing the border, finishing America’s endless wars, and promoting “America First” in matters related to foreign trade.

Navarro reinforced his thoughts on the matter in a February 17 tweet, writing that McConnell doesn’t represent the MAGA movement; he represents old-school Republicans controlled by Wall Street money and pro-China forces.
