Biden’s Latest Executive Order Could Affect Policing In SHOCKING New Way
(ConservativeHub.com) – President Joe Biden issued an executive order on police reform on May 25 that the White House says will “increase public trust and enhance public safety and security.” Still, some law enforcement professionals feel it will put officers in danger.
Parts of the order will require enhanced screening before hiring for positions in law enforcement, restrict no-knock warrants, ban chokeholds, and prevent the transfer of military equipment to law enforcement.

Fox News reported the National Sherriffs’ Association (NSA) stated the White House did not consult with them before making the decision, leaving the president without valuable opinions when crafting the order and alienating law enforcement officers nationwide. The NSA says Biden likely relied on stereotypes and misconceptions instead of facts.
Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) President Jason Johnson said this action is a “response to activist demands,” according to Fox News. Johnson explained the “unjustifiable restraints” on officers within this order will only result in restricting their ability to uphold public safety.
On the other hand, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) said they were part of the process and consulted with the Biden administration. Fox News reported that the groups said this order is a good foundation for further legislation from Congress.
