(ConservativeHub.com) – A video taken on Tuesday, June 13, shows a man in a black-and-white striped prison outfit walking out in front of the motorcade that was driving former President Donald Trump away from a Miami, Florida courthouse after his arraignment. The individual that managed to walk in front of the vehicles held a sign that read “LOCK HIM UP.” Secret Service members were quick to apprehend the man and take him to the side of the road so he could be arrested.
Secret Service Special Agent Steve Kopek, who was part of Trump’s security detail in Miami, told Newsweek that the individual had been quickly detained and taken away by Miami police. He added that his actions did not in any way affect the security of the former President and that they were thankful to the Miami Police Department for their assistance.
Normally, in Secret Service-controlled areas, physical barriers are used in order to make it easier for authorities to respond to any individual who goes against the directions provided by the police. The Miami Herald reported on June 14 that possible charges were in discussion.
Attorney Bradley Moss took to Twitter to say that the man who attempted to block the motorcade was clearly looking to “be arrested.”
Outside the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. federal courthouse, there were many protestors as well as supporters of Trump and Florida Governor Ron Desantis, which resulted in a few altercations.
DeSantis, who is considered Trump’s biggest challenger for the 2024 Republican nomination, made some remarks following Trump’s indictment which were primarily focused on the alleged “weaponization” of the Justice Department and the FBI.
