(ConservativeHub.com) – On Tuesday, July 23, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) criticized the recent GOP claim that Vice President Harris is a “DEI” hire and argued that such comments were just an attempt to cover up for using derogatory terms against her.

In an interview on CNN, Frost told anchor Jim Acosta that he wanted people to always think of the N-word when they hear the term DEI. He continued by arguing that people should think of derogatory terms to replace DEI with because that is what they actually meant when they used it.

In the interview, Acosta asked Frost whether Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) was being racist earlier that day when he had referred to Harris as a DEI hire. Frost replied that he and Burchett have a good relationship. However, he does sometimes think that the congressman uses racist rhetoric. He argued that regardless of whether or not people knew that it was racist, he wanted to let them know that it was and that he was hoping they would no longer use that rhetoric.

On Monday, the Republican lawmaker had commented on President Biden’s decision to drop out of the presidential race and his subsequent endorsement of Vice President Harris. In his post on X, Burchett argued that Washington had reached an all-time high level of incompetence and that the media had lied to Americans for years by lifting President Biden until they decided to drop him for the “DEI vice president.”

Harris received a lot of support from Democrats following the announcement and has reportedly already managed to secure the necessary delegate endorsements in order to become the Democratic party’s nominee. The Democratic nomination vote is expected to be held at the beginning of August, and no one has come forward to challenge Harris yet.
