( – On September 7, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vowed send more migrant buses to Washington, D.C. if the Biden administration introduces a rule that would force migrants to remain in Texas while awaiting their asylum hearing. Meanwhile, the federal administration is being pressed by many left-win officials in sanctuary cities who are struggling to handle the influx in migration, according to a report from Fox News.

In a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Abbott said that President Biden was considering keeping migrant families in Texas, which he called a “scam” that had been attempted before and was blocked by a judge. He added that if Biden proceeds with this plan, it is going to swiftly backfire as they are not only going to shoot down the policy again, but also to send buses carrying migrants to the Capital.

The Los Angeles Times recently reported that, according to several officials, Department of Homeland Security was considering a new policy that would require illegal immigrant family units to stay in Texas while awaiting their asylum hearings. The plan would use GPS trackers and monitoring devices to ensure that the families had not exited the state. According to this plan, if the families were deemed to not be able to stay in the country after the hearing, their close proximity to the border would make it easier for them to be expelled.

According to Fox News, DHS official responded to the report by reaffirming the Department’s commitment to formulating an immigration system that is both humane and fair.
