(ConservativeHub.com) – The January 20 inauguration ceremony took place without any problems, despite an earlier FBI warning of the potential for armed protests. Aside from restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was little about it that was unusual. Members of the Republican leadership were in attendance and paid the standard respects.
Conservative firebrands like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Josh Hawley (R-MO), and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) attended the event despite their earlier efforts to challenge the Electoral College results.
As expected, Republicans plan to aggressively push back on Biden administration’s efforts to enact tax and spend bills and other Leftist policies. Texas Republicans plan to resume the role they took up during the Obama administration of acting as a Conservative counterweight to Leftist White House policies.

Republican leaders in that state plan to lead the campaign against harsh environmental measures, the loosening of immigration regulation, and the like. Additionally, they plan to challenge dozens of Democratic-led initiatives in the courts like they did the result of the 2020 presidential election.
