(ConservativeHub.com) – The former governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin (R), recently announced she’s running for the US House of Representatives to fill the seat left vacant following the death of Representative Don Young (R-AK). During an April 4 interview on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, Palin revealed she would like to debate Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The former vice-presidential candidate said she would “beg” the liberal New York lawmaker for a match-up.
Palin stated she would love to debate AOC on the important topics facing America today. She mentioned capitalism, business, national security, education, and energy. She said she’s watched the progressive agenda destroying the country and wants to step up to fight that trend. She’s excited at the prospect of going one-on-one with AOC.
Unfortunately, the former governor probably won’t get her chance to spar with the representative. A report from Newsmax pointed out that AOC has refused previous debate offers from other conservatives, including Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Conservative journalist and commentator Ben Shapiro offered AOC $10,000 to debate him, but she declined.
Despite their differences, Palin said if she wins the election, she would be “polite” to the representative from New York when passing her in the halls of Congress. Would a Palin-AOC debate be worth watching? Do you think it would help the former governor or hurt her?
