(ConservativeHub.com) – Steve Shurtleff, who was a vocal supporter of President Joe Biden in his 2020 presidential campaign, is not as certain about whether Joe Biden should serve another term, according to AP News. Shurtleff had been there when Biden filed papers in the New Hampshire State House to run for president.

During the primary, he was an active part of Biden’s campaign, often traveling with him to different states. When Biden won the 2020 presidential election, Shurtleff was the Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. According to AP, he sealed the envelope with the state’s electoral votes inside, which then went to the US Senate.

However, much like many other Democrats, Shurtleff also appears to feel as if Biden should not run for the White House again.

AP reported that Shurtleff was asked about whether or not he wanted to see Biden running again. In response, he said, “In my heart of hearts, no.” He added that he believed a lot of people were not expressing their true opinion on this and were not saying it.

Democrats of New Hampshire in particular are upset that President Biden is trying to put an end to the state being the first in the nation to have a presidential primary. However, their concerns regarding Biden also have to do with his age, with the majority of Democratic voters questioning whether or not Biden should be running for office again.

According to a recent poll by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, 37 percent of Democrats across the nation wanted to see Biden try and win a second term. Last year’s poll from October, only a few weeks before the 2022 midterm, showed that 52 percent had wanted to see Biden running again.
