
(ConservativeHub.com) – Police in New York City said that a scooter-riding gunman is the suspect for shooting four victims in Brooklyn and Queens on Saturday, June 8. According to the reports, the incident started in Cypress Hills around 11:10 a.m. The suspect, 25-year-old Thomas Abreu, is believed to have shot the first man, 21, in the shoulder. He then proceeded to Jamaica Avenue, close to 108th Street where he fatally shot a man, 86, on the back.
The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital to be treated for his wounds, but he passed away. The police reported that the gunman had been firing at random at the crowd of people on 108th Street but that no one had been hit.
The third man was shot close to 126th Street on the cheek and was hospitalized. Finally, the last man, 63, was shot close to 134th Street and was taken to the hospital and treated for his shoulder injury. His injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening.
Authorities reported that the suspect was arrested at 1:10 p.m. around 2 hours after the shooting first began. This is the suspect’s second arrest in the city.
The New York Police Department managed to capture the suspect after releasing photos of him to all of the patrollers they had on the street. They were also able to recover the suspect’s semiautomatic pistol as well as his scooter and extended magazines.
Authorities revealed during the press conference that the scooter used did not have a valid license plate, while also saying it appears that the attacks were random.
