(ConservativeHub.com) – Zachary Kwak, 19, has pleaded guilty over his involvement in the death of a Colorado woman, 20. According to the reports, the woman died after someone threw a rock at her windshield while she was driving.

The incident occurred on April 19, 2023, when Kwak along with two other friends started throwing rocks at cars that were passing by. One of the rocks ended up smashing the windshield of Alexa Bartell’s car. On Friday, May 10, Kwak accepted guilt on one charge of second-degree assault, one charge of first-degree assault, and an additional charge of criminal attempt to commit assault.

Kwak was originally facing murder charges. However, he ended up taking a plea deal that would allow him to serve between 20 and 32 years in prison. His sentencing is set to take place on Sept. 3.

Prosecutors said that Kwak and his two friends, Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik and Joseph Koenig, threw rocks at six vehicles after 10 p.m. and ended up injuring several drivers. All three teens were 18 when the incident occurred.

Earlier that day, the three had agreed to drive to Walmart together, where they picked up the landscaping rocks and loaded them into the pickup truck owned by Koenig. For the rest of the night, the three men threw rocks at different vehicles.

Before 11 p.m., they ended up throwing a rock at Bartell’s car. Bartell was talking with a friend on her phone at the time, who described that Bartell  “abruptly stopped talking.” The teenagers were reportedly traveling at around 80 mph when they struck her vehicle.
