(ConservativeHub.com) – Sadly, people commit shocking and horrific crimes every year in the United States, but you don’t often expect a child or teenager to commit a despicable act. However, after the brutal double murder of his younger siblings months apart, an Indiana judge sentenced a boy to serve 100 years in prison.
In 2021, a jury found Nickalas Kedrowitz guilty of killing his siblings, 2-year old Desiree McCartney and 11-month-old Nathaniel Ritz, in 2017. Kedrowitz was 13 when he committed the crimes, 81 days apart. The lengthy time between the killings, as well as ongoing mental health issues, both led the court to try Kedrowitz as an adult. According to Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel, the teenager said he was “freeing the siblings from some sort of hell.”

Reports show Kedrowitz suffocated his siblings to death and likely had an abusive stepfather living with them. Kedrowitz’s mother defended him, stating she felt he was under threat from her boyfriend to kill the babies.
However, prosecutors have not brought charges against anyone else. So, on Tuesday, February 1, a judge handed down the 50-year sentences to Kedrowitz to serve, one after another.
Do you think justice was served in this case?
