(ConservativeHub.com) – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently blasted the Biden administration, alleging that they cut the razor wire that the state had installed along the southern border.

On September 20, Abbott took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that razor wire had been placed in Eagle Pass so as to block migrants from illegally crossing into the country. However, he then claimed that the Biden administration had cut the wire, allowing illegal immigrants to enter the country. He added that in response to this move, he had to deploy additional Texas National Guard officers in order to reinstall the razor wire and block the illegal crossings.

The governor proceeded to post a letter of a picture that he had sent to President Joe Biden in November, in which he had claimed that President Biden’s border policies had led to an “invasion” at the U.S. border. He added that they were currently constructing a border wall, while also preventing migrant crossings and installing barriers and razor wire.

The Department of Justice previously filed a lawsuit against Texas over the installation of buoys that were meant to block the migrants attempting to cross the border through the Rio Grande. The barriers are part of Operation Lone Star launched by Abbott in response to the migration crisis.

The Department of Justice in the lawsuit said that the barrier was obstructing the “navigable” U.S. waters and that it had caused concerns both from a humanitarian and environmental perspective. A federal judge originally ordered the removal of the buoys, but the U.S. Court of Appeals has since stayed that order.
