(ConservativeHub.com) – Senator Lindsey Graham has recently defended President Joe Biden regarding the recent discovery of several batches of classified documents in his former office at the University of Pennsylvania and his Delaware home. While speaking with reporters on Capitol hill, he said that while having special counsel in the case was something he had advocated for, he did not believe the documents would lead to any compromises to the national security of the country.

Graham specifically told reporters that he had a long history with President Biden and that he would be “shocked” to hear that “anything sinister” was in those files, according to a report from Newsweek.

These comments don’t align with most of the claims made by those on the right who have questioned whether the files could have led to risks as Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, had access to the home where many of the classified documents were found. Hunter Biden is currently facing scrutiny over his business dealings.

Last week, a report by The Washington Free Beacon pointed out that if Hunter Biden did have access to any of the classified material, it could potentially be a big national security concern, considering his foreign business deals and the federal investigation he is facing regarding tax fraud.

According to Newsweek, representatives of Graham said in an email that the Senator’s comments shouldn’t be viewed as him “undermining” the importance of the case and the security of classified documents.

What do you think? Should the public be concerned about the document findings?
