ConservativeHub.com – New Hampshire Governor Sununu (R) has predicted that the New Hampshire GOP primary in 2024 would not be won by former President Donald Trump but rather by Florida Gov. DeSantis (R).

In an interview with Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union”, Sununu said that while Trump could potentially win, he did not believe that he would. He added that ever since Trump launched his campaign, he has had to face many “stumbling blocks” and even pointed to Trump’s speech and appearance in New Hampshire which he dubbed as “mundane.”

Sununu said that while Trump managed to cover all of his talking points and stick to what it said on the teleprompter, he had failed to bring the required energy and fire that had made him a standout in ’16. He added that this was disappointing to many of the people there.

So far, Trump is the only leading GOP figure to have officially launched a presidential campaign in 2024. There are many other figures, including Sununu who are still considering whether or not they want to place a bid for the White House in 2024. DeSantis, while viewed as a potential candidate, has also not yet announced whether or not he would indeed be running for the White House. Sununu has said that if DeSantis did choose to run, then he would more likely than Trump to win the New Hampshire primary at this point. According to Sununu, most other candidates would choose to enter the race either in spring or summer.
