( – President Joe Biden has frequently referred to former President Donald Trump as a threat to democracy, but that has not stopped Trump from slamming him with equal criticism in his public comments.

On Saturday, January 20, in a packed hockey arena at Southern New Hampshire University, Trump argued in front of his supporters that it was Biden who was the threat to the U.S. democracy. The rally was aired live on Newsmax as well as the Newsmax 2 streaming platform. During his comments, Trump argued that Biden is a “threat to democracy” and that he’s weaponized federal agencies against him.

He claimed that the first reason Biden is a threat to democracy is because he’s “grossly incompetent.” According to The Guardian, he also accused members of the media of protecting Biden.

During the rally, Trump was also interrupted by a protester who reportedly tried to get on the stage. “You can throw him out,” Trump said as Service Service and Manchester authorities moved to detain the individual. The former president seemed to brush off the interruption, attributing it to the “weaponization” and saying these types of things were only happening because “we’re leading.”

This wasn’t the first time Trump has made these types of comments against Biden. According to an AP News article from December 2023, Trump called Biden the “destroyer of Democracy,” accusing him at the time of weaponizing the government. He has repeatedly pushed back against the criminal accusations he’s been facing amid legal woes.
