( – On Wednesday, December 13, during an Iowa campaign event, former President Donald Trump gushed about his success in a physical and cognitive exam he says he took recently. He argued it was necessary for all those who wanted to participate in the presidential race to have to take a cognitive exam.

He claimed he took the physical exam and aced it, and that he also took a cognitive test. According to him, he told the Doctor, “Give me anything you want, I want to take it.” Trump also added that he believes those running for the White House should be required to take such exams.

He claimed that President Joe Biden would not be able to pass a cognitive exam at this stage, while Trump himself aced the exam he had been given. According to The Hill, Trump has bragged about his successes with cognitive tests in the past.

During his time in office, Trump on two separate occasions bragged about how well he did on a cognitive test he took in 2020.

The former president pointed out at the time the questions started off easier and became more difficult. Trump then boasted that while the test itself was not necessarily easy, he found it to be easy for himself. As part of the memory exam included in the cognitive exam, the former president was asked to repeat five names slowly.

Some GOP Republicans, including presidential candidate Nikki Haley, have been advocating for mental acuity tests to become mandatory.
