(ConservativeHub.com) – On Tuesday, a judge said that the special grand jury’s final report on the investigation into the 2020 attempts by former President Trump and supporters to overturn the Georgia election would remain secret, according to The Associated Press. Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney of Fulton county disclosed that after hearing arguments from the prosecution, he decided that the documents would remain undisclosed — at least until he comes to a final decision on the matter. This is despite the fact that many media organizations have been pressing for the documents to be released. Prosecutors still have the right to file a lawsuit in order to make the report public.

He further added that they would reexamine the parties’ arguments before reaching a final decision, even though he expects his decision to be appealed. If McBurney makes the decision to release the report, then he will also need to decide which parts should be redacted.

It is speculated that the report will include recommendations for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to consider criminal prosecution.

Former President Trump, who announced in November his third bid for the White House, is facing a number of investigations. As part of the investigation of this specific case, the grand jury heard from many key witnesses including Senator Graham of South Carolina, Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, attorney Rudy Giuliani, and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.

The investigation first started in January 2021 after it was revealed that Trump had called Raffensperger and had pushed for him to find the “11,780 votes” necessary for them to overturn the election.
