(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump has remained relatively quiet since he left the White House on January 20. He spoke at this year’s CPAC conference on February 28, and he gave his first in-person interview on April 19 with Fox News host Sean Hannity. He’s been vague at best when asked about his future political aspirations. However, a crack appeared in his armor earlier this week.
On Thursday, April 29, Trump told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo he was “100%” considering running for president again in 2024. Asked whether he would consider selecting Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis for running mate, Trump answered in the affirmative.
“He’s done a great job as governor,” Trump said. “Certainly, Ron would be considered. He’s a great guy.”

“He’s a friend of mine,” Trump responded. He reminded Bartiromo that he endorsed DeSantis and “he took off like a rocket ship.”
Continuing, Trump said that DeSantis has done a great job as Florida’s governor. “Certainly,” he would consider asking DeSantis to run on the 2024 ticket. “He’s a great guy.”
Although Trump has refused to say whether he would run in 2024, he likely stands a good chance of getting elected to a second term as president. As he told Bartiromo, he ran for president twice and increased his vote count by 12 million the second time he ran.
