(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump is the only major Republican member to have currently launched a presidential campaign for 2024. Following this announcement, Trump has been working to gather the necessary support and endorsements as it is expected that 2024 will be a particularly challenging election year.

In one of his first major campaign events in South Carolina last weekend, Trump won the endorsements of South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and Senator Lindsey Graham, according to Newsweek. Both McMaster and Graham have been loyal supporters of Trump during his time in office.

Trump has also received the endorsement of Senator Tommy Tuberville in Alabama, who actually has been quick to endorse him following the 2022 midterm election.

Senator J.D. Vance revealed last week that he would back Trump in 2024. On Monday, Schmitt announced that he was planning on supporting Trump in the upcoming election cycle as well. Schmitt also pointed out that Trump had a lot of support in Missouri and that he was a popular option in the state.

Trump also received an endorsement from Kari Lake, the Arizona gubernatorial candidate in 2022. Her support was given in the form of a tweet that simply stated “Trump 2024.”
However, while Trump has managed to gain some endorsements, there are many who are questioning whether they should back him, especially since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and has not yet announced whether or not he would be placing a bid for the White House. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is also reported to be planning a run, with a possible announcement coming later this month.
