Trump Hints at Future Run for Office

( – Donald Trump has remained out of the limelight since he left the White House. He spoke at this year’s CPAC conference, and he met with a few Republicans like House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) about the 2022 midterms. But otherwise, he’s had a much smaller presence in the public eye over the last few months.

He broke his relative silence on Monday, April 19, when he sat down with Fox News host Sean Hannity for his first on-camera interview since leaving office. Hannity asked about his upcoming political plans and whether they included another presidential run in 2024.

Trump responded that the election was a long time away, but he had “tremendous” polling numbers. “There’s more popularity [for me] now than… the day before the election,” he added. As he explained, taxes are increasing along with job losses, and government regulations “are going through the roof.”

“I am looking at [a presidential run] very seriously,” he said. “Beyond seriously.” However, “I don’t really want to talk about it yet,” he concluded. “It’s too soon.”
