Trump Announces 2024 Intentions

( – Former President Donald Trump will run for another chance to occupy the Oval Office in 2024. He announced his intentions on November 15 from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. But reactions to this news were mixed after an underwhelming GOP performance in the midterm elections.

Trump compared his accomplishments with the job President Biden has done so far. He managed to stay away from controversial topics. The message drew a reaction from from Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who tweeted that continuing on this path would serve the former Commander-in-Chief well. Jeb Bush Jr found it less enthralling, calling it “low energy” on Twitter and demanding new leadership in the party.

Some within the GOP stand firm that Trump will help put the party back in the White House in 2024. Arizona Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) expressed his excitement for another Trump run, while Republican Paul Gosar, who represents Arizona’s 4th congressional district, wrote that he was giving Trump his “total endorsement.”

But not everyone is happy about the situation. Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson (R) noted in a Twitter post that Trump is using the same approach he did last time and predicted equal failure in 2024. Former Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, while praising Trump’s speech, wrote he thinks the former president should focus on winning over independent and swing voters, lest he suffer the “same fate” of many of the candidates he endorsed.

Meanwhile, the former president’s daughter seems to be backing away from the situation. She wasn’t at the Mar-a-Lago announcement, telling Fox News Digital that she will not involve herself in the situation this time but will continue to support her dad outside of politics. She noted her life removed from Washington has been much happier.
