(ConservativeHub.com) – Democrats formed committees to review their election failures in states like Texas and New Hampshire in the wake of the 2020 general elections. Republicans, on the other hand, opted to skip an election post-mortem. However, Donald Trump weighed in with his thoughts on the future of the Republican Party in a far-reaching interview this week.
During her new podcast’s debut episode on March 22, Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe asked the former president who he thought would step up to lead the GOP.

“I think we have a lot of people,” he replied. Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis “is doing a really good job.” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has demonstrated “real courage.”
He also named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R), and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, his former press secretary and current candidate for the GOP nomination for governor of Arkansas.
The interview concluded with Trump suggesting that Republicans need to unite behind “better, stronger” leadership moving forward.
