(ConservativeHub.com) – Last month, former President Donald Trump had meetings with some of the country’s most prominent CEOs, where he reportedly said he was looking to bring corporate tax down to 20 percent if he wins back the White House.

Later, Trump revealed to Bloomberg Businessweek that he would like to see corporate tax drop as low as 15 percent. During a meeting in Washington, D.C., on June 13, Trump met with a number of CEOs, including Brian Moynihan from Bank of America, Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan, and Tim Cook from Apple. The discussion was organized by a nonpartisan lobbying ground the Business Roundtable.

During the discussion, Trump informed the CEOs that he wanted to bring the corporate tax rate down to 20 percent. In his first administration, Trump reduced the rate from 35 percent to 21 percent. Now, he has informed Bloomberg Businessweek that the CEOs loved his suggestion during their meeting, and he added that he would like to bring the corporate business rate down to 15 percent.

Business leaders who had previously been hesitant to support Trump are now realizing that there is a real possibility of a second Trump administration, according to a report from Newsmax.

National polls have shown that Trump, who is the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, is currently leading against President Joe Biden.

Recently, billionaire Elon Musk pledged to donate $45 million per month to a super PAC that is backing the efforts of the former President. This came just days after an attempt on Trump’s life at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump referred to the June meeting with the CEOs dubbing it a “lovefest.”
