(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump is going to be holding his first public campaign event for 2023 in South Carolina. As Trump announced that he would be running for the 2024 presidential election, this is viewed by many aides as the first major public appearance in his 2024 Presidential campaign, according to a Politico report.

Later this month, Trump is scheduled to appear at an event in Columbia, S.C. While this event will not resemble the rallies that Trump is often associated with, it will still be an important step in the Republican primary contest. Advisers said it would be a more “intimate” event that is meant to be a stepping block for the former President to truly start working on his campaign following his campaign announcement, Politico reports.

Trump’s announcement that he would be running in 2024 has been met with a lot of criticism and many have noted that the former President does not appear to have the same vibrancy and high-energy that people expect from him. However, Politico reports that Trump advisers Brian Jack, Susie Wiles, Chris LaCivita have all said that he was simply in the initial stages of building his campaign following the midterm election.

LaCivita specifically noted that there are many steps to building a campaign that cannot easily be seen by outsiders looking in. However, organizing and campaign building are necessary steps to creating a successful campaign.

The three advisers also pointed out that South Carolina is a key region in the GOP primary, which is why Trump is taking the steps to showcase himself as the best candidate from early on.
