(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Trump on Monday spoke up after the reveal that the Department of Justice was looking into a number of classified documents found in one of Biden’s offices. The documents date back to Biden’s time as vice president and were found in an office Biden had used between 2017 and 2019.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social page regarding the event while sharing an article about the story. His first question was to inquire whether the FBI would raid the White House or one of Biden’s private residences as part of the investigation.
The documents were found by Biden’s personal attorneys as they were clearing an office that he had used while working as an honorary professor at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.
Richard Sauber, Biden’s special counsel said that as soon as the documents were located, the National Archives were contacted right away, according to a report from The Hill. The next day, they picked up the documents which are now being reviewed by the U.S. attorney general for Chicago.
Trump’s comments about whether the FBI would be raiding any of Biden’s properties draws a direct link between this case and the Mar-a-Lago raid, where Trump’s home was raided and hundreds of classified documents were recovered. He’s currently under investigation due to the reveal.
On January 12, a White House official stated that a few more classified materials had been found at Biden’s home in Delaware. Most of the documents were uncovered in a “storage space” in the garage, he said in a statement.
