(ConservativeHub.com) – On Friday, July 19, former President Donald Trump had a phone discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy which he described in a post on social media as “very good.” Trump promised in his post that he would “bring peace” to the region if he becomes president again.
In his post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said that he had a good conversation with Zelenskyy, who congratulated him on officially receiving the Republican nomination during this week’s Republican National Convention. He also said that the Ukrainian president condemned the assassination attempt against Trump, which occurred last week. According to him, Zelenskyy indicated that Americans had come together since the incident.
Trump said in his post that he appreciated Zelenskyy’s decision to reach out, and he vowed that if he becomes the next U.S. president, he is going to bring peace to the world and put an end to the wars that are costing so many human lives. He asserted that with him in office, both sides would be able to come together in order to negotiate a deal that would bring an end to all the violence.
On Thursday, Trump was officially named the Republican nominee in the upcoming presidential election, only days after a 20-year-old shooter allegedly fired shots during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania. One innocent attendee was killed and two others seriously injured. Trump also sustained an injury during the attack.
Following the phone call, Zelenskyy also took to the social media platform X to similarly talk about how shocking the attempt on Trump’s life had been. He extended wishes of “safety” and “strength” going forward.
