(ConservativeHub.com) – A new clip of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has been going viral after the presidential candidate refused to serve Bud Light to veterans on the campaign trail.

On June 16, as part of his campaign appearances, DeSantis went to The Bunker at the Veterans of Foreign War Post post in Sparks, Nevada, where he jumped behind the bar and started to serve drinks. While serving drinks to those in the bar, he joked that he was willing to serve anything but Bud Light. In response to the joke, some of the patrons laughed and cheered for the Florida governor.

In recent months, a boycott of Bud Light has led to a decrease in their sales. Some Conservatives have been boycotting the company after Bud Light sent transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney beer in celebration of the first year since she transitioned. The drink was then promoted on her Instagram channel.

The above clip of DeSantis stating that he was not going to be serving any Bud Light has been viewed more than 223,000 times, as of June 23. His spokesperson Lindsey Curnutte was the one to post the clip.

Social media users were quick to offer their opinions. One Twitter user who uses the account name Florida Native commented on the tweet of the clip to say that DeSantis was “the most down-to-earth” presidential candidate “in a LONG time” and that he is not just some millionaire or billionaire but rather he has worked in order to reach his current position. Some, however, accused him of trying too hard to be like Trump, while others opined that he was focusing on the wrong issues.

DeSantis is known for fighting what he considers the “woke agenda” during his time as governor in Florida.
