(ConservativeHub.com) – Controversy continues to surround the results of the 2020 presidential election. Serious allegations of election fraud and voting irregularities permeate the results in Georgia. President Donald Trump and lawyers working for his campaign have been working diligently to get to the bottom of those claims.
Unable to get immediate relief in the courts due to procedural blocks, President Trump, along with his chief of staff and some lawyers, reached out to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on January 2, 2021.
Raffensperger and his attorney refused to answer questions presented to him by the president and his legal team. He also indicated his unwillingness to investigate the allegations of election irregularities.
The following day, Raffensperger’s staff leaked an audio recording of the conversation to The Washington Post. True to form, The Post released a series of clips selected to make the president look bad by failing to provide the proper context for them.
The conversation reportedly formed a part of negotiations about two lawsuits filed by the president against Raffensperger regarding the election. As such, the call was privileged. Additionally, due to the gravity of allegations of voter fraud, national security concerns are also implicated.

The result of the recording’s unauthorized release appears to be the launch of a Secret Service investigation into Raffensperger’s actions under the federal Espionage Act. This story is breaking, and we will keep you updated.
