(ConservativeHub.com) – Reports say the White House has canceled a meeting with Israel after a video surfaced of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claiming the U.S. has withheld military aid.

According to reporting by Axios, the meeting was scheduled for Thursday this past week, when the nations would discuss Iran. However, President Joe Biden’s most senior advisers were allegedly angered by the video.

One U.S. official said the cancellation highlights that Israel would face “consequences for pulling such stunts.”

The video at the center of the cancellation reportedly shows Netanyahu stating that it was “inconceivable” that the Biden administration had been “withholding weapons and ammunitions to Israel” in recent months.

Netanyahu’s statements come after Biden delayed the delivery of certain heavy bombs amid worries over Israel killing Gaza civilians. However, the administration has taken care to avoid the implication that Israel has overstepped its bounds in Rafah, as reported by Newsmax. This would cause a larger ban on the movement of weapons.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre clarified that the administration had provided Israel with billions of dollars in weapons, only pausing one weapon shipment. She added that she “genuinely” didn’t know what Netanhayu was “talking about.”

In the video, Netanhayu also reportedly claimed Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is working hard to end the delays, suggesting Blinken said this during a recent visit to Israel.

At a State Department news conference on June 18, Blinken chimed in, stating that the only pause on weapon shipment was one relating to “2,000-pound bombs” which was paused in May.

Blinken noted the Biden administration paused the shipment because of concerns it would be used in “a densely populated area like Rafah,” adding that “everything else is moving as it normally would.”
