(ConservativeHub.com) – Last month, former First Lady Melania Trump was asked while casting her ballot with former President Donald Trump in the Florida primary if she would consider going back to the campaign trail ahead of the 2024 presidential election. In response, she simply told everyone with a smile that they should “stay tuned.”
However, reports indicate that thus far, Melania Trump has only attended a fundraiser for Log Cabin Republicans at her home in Mar-a-Lago and has been otherwise absent. Those in her circle have stated that they do not foresee that there will be a change in that. One source specifically stated that being on the campaign trail was not “her comfort space.”
The source continued by arguing that they believed it was a “loss” because first ladies can often be very helpful on the campaign trail, particularly with other women and with those who are undecided. They added that Melania Trump’s story is very compelling. However, they also said that they respected her for not forcing herself to do something that she was not interested in. Still, they argued that it was important to look at how detrimental that was to her husband’s campaign.
A second source pointed out that the campaign had not requested for Melania Trump to be out campaigning as they know that she is a private person and that she dislikes it.
Trump is currently stuck in a New York courtroom where he is facing a criminal hush money trial regarding a payment allegedly made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence.
