Election VICTORY – New Projected Winner Revealed!
(ConservativeHub.com) – A 25-year-old New Hampshire native is the projected winner in the Republican primary for the First Congressional District, according to AP News. Karoline Leavitt is just past the minimum age to run for the US House of Representatives, and she beat out two-time candidate Matt Mowers to fight for the critical swing seat in the fall. The GOP needs only a five-seat gain to get control of the chamber. The question is — can she win the election at midterms?
In a victory speech on September 13, Leavitt spoke a bit about her journey, saying she started this fight with nothing but a “passion” and a “drive” to protect New Hampshire from the far left Democrats. She also said the media and the “establishment” never believed she could succeed against another Republican who had run in the past.

The 25-year-old made her case with a grassroots campaign focused on helping the people and presented her age as a benefit, saying she could reach out more effectively to younger generations. Additionally, she stressed the importance of re-establishing a Republican majority in the House to take back control from Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and she has been known for her support of Trump’s election fraud claims. Leavitt secured the backing of several prominent names within the GOP, such as Representative Jim Jordan (OH), Senator Ted Cruz (TX), and Representative Elise Stefanik (NY), for whom the young woman had previously worked.
Mowers had the financial backing of the Congressional Leadership Fund and support from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) and Minority Whip Steve Scalise (LA). He raised far more money than Leavitt, but the 25-year-old candidate didn’t let that overshadow her campaign.
Mowers was running for a second time after losing the 2020 general election to Representative Chris Pappas (D). Leavitt will face Pappas in the fall, and a win would make her the youngest woman ever to serve in Congress.
