( – Democratic Rep. Maxwell Frost (Fla.) has slammed former President Donald Trump for being a “threat” to the environment. He made these comments on Monday, April 22, or Earth Day.

Frost released a statement in which he pointed out some of former President’s past comments about climate change. Frost argued that Trump’s arguments on the issue make him dangerous for future generations and the planet.

Fost, who serves on the President Joe Biden campaign’s National Advisory Board, said that Trump is going to sell out the American citizens to “oil barons” that are looking to take the country backward and pollute the air. He continued by saying that Trump would do that just so he could receive campaign donations.

In a recent fundraising dinner, Trump made comments against wind energy.

Biden, along with his allies, has been pushing to showcase the important difference between the two candidates when it comes to climate change. This is especially true as Trump continues to favor fossil fuels rather than push for any climate-related regulations. Biden, on the other hand, has actively supported renewables and other policies that are friendly to the environment.

Climate is one of the key issues that the Democratic Party’s mainstream and progressive wings appear to be in relative agreement on. This is particularly noteworthy as the two factions have faced a lot of friction in the relation between the two, especially in connection to the war in Gaza.
