( – Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, during an appearance on “Your World with Neil Cavuto,” did not rule out the possibility of once again serving in the federal government if former President Donald Trump wins back the White House in November 2024.

During Trump’s term in office, Pompeo served as the secretary of state and the CIA director. When asked during an interview on March 8 whether he would consider serving under Trump again, he noted that he did not usually make any comments about jobs that he has not yet been offered. However, he added that if he was given the opportunity to serve again, he believes he would be able to make a difference and that he would accept. He said that this would be an opportunity for him to deliver for the American people.

Neil Cavuto, who was interviewing Pompeo, said that previously Trump has pushed for all of those serving under him to be strictly loyal to him.

Pompeo in response said that he was sure that Trump was going to look for people who would “faithfully execute” everything that he requested for them to do. He added that he felt this was something any president would want from those working with him/her.

Pompeo proceeded to say that during his time as the secretary of state, this was certainly something that he had wanted for all of those working under him and that it frustrated him when people would not do what he asked of them.
