Airport Worker Suddenly Dies

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) responded to the incident, issuing a statement on June 25 shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. The flight had originated from Los Angeles, with the aircraft in question operating with just a single engine at the time of the distressing incident. The NTSB acknowledged their immediate engagement with Delta Air Lines, seeking at the time to gather information for their investigation.

The worker was an employee of Unifi Aviation, a well-known company specializing in providing ground-handling operations support to various airlines. Unifi Aviation released a statement expressing their deepest condolences to the family of the worker. According to AP, the NTSB revealed on June 26 that they would not be conducting a full investigation into the incident. The medical examiner in the case ruled the death a suicide, and it was discovered that no safety issues played a role in the worker’s death. A Unifi spokesperson expressed sadness at the loss of an employee.
