(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump’s attorney, Christina Bobb, has argued that Trump should not attempt to move on from the 2020 election, according to a recent report from Newsweek.

While speaking to news outlet American Media Periscope, Bobb reportedly stated she believes Trump will return to office. She said that when that happens, she wants an investigation launched into the 2020 election.

It has been more than two years since former President Trump lost the presidential election to President Joe Biden. Since that time, Trump has refused to admit defeat and has since maintained that many of the battleground states that he lost were because of voter fraud in those states. He has also made heavily contested claims that the election was rigged and stolen. However, despite this, there has never been any evidence to back the claims that he is making.

Trump has now placed his third bid in the Republican primary and is looking to once again face President Biden in the 2024 election. However, his presidential campaign is not the only thing taking up his time currently, as he is facing a number of investigations, some of which relate to the 2020 election and his conduct and attempts to overturn the election.

Still, not all Republicans agree that more focus needs to be given to fraud claims. Instead, many have said that the underwhelming midterm elections were a clear indication that the Republicans need to move away from these types of claims regarding the election. In the 2022 midterm elections, the Republicans only managed to retake the House with a slim majority, while losing a seat in the Senate. Trump-endorsed candidates also failed to win in many key races, leading to the former President facing a lot of criticism.
