(ConservativeHub.com) – The Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump argued that the hush money case brought against former President Donald Trump was “insane.” This statement was made ahead of trial selection for the case, which took place over the course of the week.

Former President Trump, who is Lara Trump’s father-in-law, was required to be in attendance at the trial in New York where he is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records.

On Monday, April 15, Lara Trump slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D), who brought forward the legal case, by arguing that it was “ridiculous” that this case was going on. She claimed that it was clear that this case was “partisan” which is why Bragg had not brought forward the case until after Trump announced that he would be seeking to win back the White House.

During her appearance on NewsNation’s “Morning in America,” she continued by saying that it was “insane” that they were currently in such a position in the United States. She added that the case was “ludicrous” but that she did not expect that it would have any harmful effects on Donald Trump’s bid to win back the White House. She said no one cared about the cases that he was facing.

She continued by claiming that this was not related to crime or doing the right thing, but that instead the case was completely focused on politics, something that the people could see and understand. She added that this is why, whenever these cases would come up, fundraising for Trump would also increase.
