(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump’s supporters who attended his rally in Erie Insurance Arena in Pennsylvania applauded Trump for his Christian values, with at least one person calling him the “king,” according to a Newsweek report.

The campaign rally is a major step in Trump’s attempts to secure the Republican nomination in 2024. In 2016 during his first campaign, Erie helped boost his campaign run and played a role in boosting his presidential run. Trump is known for large campaign rallies that draw in supporters from across the country.

According to most Republican primary polls, Trump is the frontrunner in the 2024 Republican primary race, and he has a wide lead against all other Presidential candidates who are in the race against him. Still, he is also facing a number of legal troubles. The Department of Justice has slapped him with dozens of charges in recent months related to three cases: alleged hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels, mishandling of classified documents, and his role in the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

Trump has maintained that he committed no wrongdoings in connection to any of these cases. Nonetheless, he was expected to appear in court on August 3 for an arraignment concerning the most recent charges brought against him.

The Right Side Broadcasting Network conducted interviews from Trump supporters ahead of the Erie rally. Newsweek reported that in a video on Twitter, one of the rally goers could be seen with a shirt that states “The Great MAGA King.” She claimed that “King Trump” comes just below “King Jesus.”

A different Trump supporter spoke about Trump’s Christian values and how he had stood for unborn children. He said that Trump was the best presidential choice he had seen in his life.
