(ConservativeHub.com) – On Monday, March 25, Homeland Security raided the homes of Sean “Diddy” Combs in Miami and Los Angeles pertaining to an investigation. Combs has denied all of the allegations that have been brought against him, with his attorney calling them “meritless.”
Aaron Dyer, his attorney, provided a statement to Fox News Digital and other outlets on Tuesday in which he argued that there was a “gross overuse of military-level force” during both of the home searches. He argued that there was no reason for such “hostility” by the authorities or the way that his employees and children were handled in this situation. He said that Combs had also willingly cooperated with the authorities and was not detained.
He further stated that unlike what the media has speculated, no one in the Combs family was arrested as part of the investigation, nor was their ability to travel limited in any way. He added that the “unprecedented ambush” and media presence have resulted in Combs being judged prematurely when all that exists are “meritless” accusations made in civil lawsuits.
Dyer also stated that these allegations have not resulted in the court finding any civil or criminal liability and that his client was innocent and would continue to fight in order to prove that.
According to Fox News, a U.S. official has confirmed that the investigation that resulted in the raids is a federal human trafficking investigation. However, it is still unknown exactly what connection Combs has to the authorities’ probe.
