(ConservativeHub.com) – In a New Hampshire psychiatric hospital on November 17, a gunman shot at multiple people, killing one before the authorities shot him dead.

Mark Hall, the New Hampshire State Police Colonel, stated during a briefing with reporters that they had originally received the call at 3:38 p.m. about an active shooter at the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord. On X, formerly known as Twitter, the law enforcement authorities had previously reported that the call had been received shortly after 4 p.m. and that the shooting had multiple victims.

New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) officials also took to X at 4:05 p.m. EST to note that they had been informed about the situation that was occurring at the hospital. Around 30 minutes later in an update to the situation, they noted that the incident had been “contained” and wrote in the update that the suspect was dead.

Hall, in his statement, noted that a state trooper had managed to shoot dead the gunman. Police also noted that the situation had been limited to the medical center’s lobby. As Hall said following the shooting, the victim of the gunman, identified as 63-year-old Bradley, Haas was administered CPR before being moved to the Concord Hospital. However, they didn’t survive.

During the briefing, Hall said that they were working to notify the victim’s family and would be releasing more information about the incident over time. Law enforcement later identified the shooting suspect as 33-year-old John Madore.
