(ConservativeHub.com) – Failed Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate from the 2022 election Kari Lake stated that she was caught by “surprise” by the attack that Lynda Carter, who previously portrayed Wonder Woman, launched against her, according to a report from Newsweek.
Newsweek noted that reports have stated Lake is planning to launch a campaign for the Senate in the near future. In the meantime, she is also in the middle of a legal battle that is related to the November 2022 election which she lost.
Despite losing the election, Lake continues to have a large group of supporters and she has often stated that she identified as a MAGA Republican.
As Lake is expected to join the race, a meme started appearing online, in which Lake’s face is edited on top of Carter’s body in an image from her Wonder Woman show. Lake has rebranded the meme and is referring to it as the “MAGA Woman.”
Carter took to social media in response, stating that Wonder Woman was meant to represent truth, justice, kindness, and empathy and that it was delusional to believe that these are shoes that Lake could fill. Since its posting, the statement has been viewed over 3 million times.
Lake responded in another post, stating that she was a big fan of Wonder Woman, and said that this was a “light-hearted Meme” that someone had created. She added that as a child she had always enjoyed watching the show and that even when she had given birth she had worn Wonder Woman T-shirts. She expressed her admiration for Carter and added that she hoped to meet her someday.
