(ConservativeHub.com) – According to recent reports, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he would prefer to see President Joe Biden remain in the White House rather than to have former President Donald Trump serve another term. He said that Biden was “more predictable.”
Answering a question from reporter Pavel Zarubin about who he would prefer in the 2024 presidential election, Putin argued that Biden was both more experienced and predictable. He continued by saying that, regardless, they were going to work with any United States leader who had the American people’s trust.
However, while Putin expressed a preference for Biden, he also slammed the current administration over some of the policies that they are following which he dubbed as “harmful.”
He proceeded to say that this is what he had told Biden “back then” as well.
In the past, Trump has called Putin “smart” and said that his recent comments were a “great compliment.” He said that Putin wanted Biden to be in office because he could get everything he wanted, including Ukraine.
Biden won the White House over a year before the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Throughout his time in office, he has continued to express support for Ukraine and the United States has given the country billions to be used in ammunition and funding. However, lawmakers are still having a hard time reaching an agreement on further funding.
Earlier this week, the Senate passed a $95.3 billion emergency defense spending bill which includes $60 billion to be given to Ukraine. However, House Republicans continue to push back on the idea of a funding bill that does not include any provisions for border security and immigration.
