(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence left office back in 2021, but it appears their relationship is still not on solid ground. On Saturday, August 5, Trump claimed that his former Vice President has turned to “the dark side.”

In a Truth Social post, Trump argued that Pence was “delusional” to have entered the Republican primary race against him. In the past week, Trump and Pence have slammed each other several times as a result of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s decision to formally charge Trump.

In his post, Trump said that Pence before Trump was just about to lose his position as Indiana Governor and is now on the “Dark Side.” He then argued that he never told Pence that he should put Trump ahead of the Constitution, nor has he ever said that Pence is “too honest.” He claimed that Pence was delusional and that he was just trying to appear as if he was tough.

He then claimed that he had once read an article that said Pence was not a “very good person.” He said he now believes the piece he read was correct.

Trump’s post came only a few days after Smith’s indictment which included Pence’s personal notes from Jan. 6, 2021, and the days before it.

According to Fox News, the notes referred to many of the conversations that Pence and Trump had shared following the election. One of the exchanges mentioned had occurred on New Year’s Day and is also included in Pene’s memoir.
