(ConservativeHub.com) – On Wednesday, President Biden blamed staffers for not reviewing all the documents thoroughly when they were packing up his old office. As he argued this is what led to multiple classified documents being found in his possession from his time as Vice President.

During an interview on PBS, Biden said that when his office was being packed, staffers were not thorough in looking “through every single piece of literature that’s there.”

The President added that he was not sure, but he thought that the investigators had also “picked up” some documents from close to 50 years ago. However, Biden did not know whether or not those documents were classified documents.

Biden said that as far as he knew, the documents were from 1974, but they were stray papers. He added that he did not know if there was “something else.”

The FBI searched through Biden’s Wilmington, Del., home on Jan. 21. As Bob Bauer, President Biden’s lawyer, disclosed, they located six separate items with classification markings, they also took some other documents that date back to both Biden’s time in the Senate and his time as Vice President. Biden first started serving in the Senate in 1972.

During the PBS interview, Biden said that he had voluntarily allowed the FBI to go through his home and that currently, they were just waiting to see where the investigation would go.

The FBI also searched his home in Rehoboth, but no classified documents were found there.
