(ConservativeHub.com) – On Wednesday, November 15, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a renowned actor and former professional wrestler, visited Capitol Hill, catching the attention of many senators and members of the U.S. Capitol Police. His presence there was not just a casual visit but involved significant meetings and interactions.

The highlight of Johnson’s visit was a meeting in the office of Senator Dick Durbin, a prominent Democrat from Illinois. This meeting wasn’t a usual celebrity courtesy call; it had substantial discussions on topics such as military recruitment and the XFL, a professional football league where Johnson is a partial owner. The agenda suggested a blend of Johnson’s interests in both entertainment and national service. According to Senator Durbin’s office, the initiative for this meeting came from Senator Jon Tester’s office, indicating a collaborative interest among the senators in engaging with Johnson.

In a lighter moment of the visit, the U.S. Capitol Police shared a post on a social media platform, which was previously known as Twitter. The post toyed with the idea of Johnson being a potential recruit for the Capitol Police, given his renowned physical fitness and stature. Accompanied by a photo featuring Johnson with uniformed officers, the post was a playful nod to his larger-than-life persona.

Adding to the day’s events, Johnson was also seen in the company of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer from New York. A video from this encounter showcased Schumer’s sense of humor, as he quipped about Johnson’s famed muscular build while they appeared to be taking a photo together.

From a political standpoint, Johnson’s visit was significant given his public endorsement of President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race. His endorsement was noteworthy as it marked his first public support for a presidential candidate. Johnson, who has identified as an Independent with centrist ideologies for many years, expressed at the time his conviction that Biden and Senator Harris were the best choice to lead the United States. This endorsement was seen as an alignment of his personal beliefs with the political leadership he thought would best serve the country’s interests.
