(ConservativeHub.com) – According to a recent report from Fox News, a presidential elector of Hillary Clinton indicated that Minnesota lawmakers are looking to pass major election legislation that could “manipulate” the Electoral College.

A total of three bills are being considered by both chambers of Congress in Minnesota dealing with voting laws. According to Fox News, one of these bills has been approved by the House so far and is set to be reviewed by the Senate next.

The three bills are part of a large elections omnibus package. One of the provisions included would make the state a part of the National Popular Vote (NPV) Interstate Compact.

A source revealed to Fox News that the measure involving the NPVIC was included without proper vetting by lawmakers. This is reportedly a violation of party caucus regulations which mandate that an omnibus provision review must take place. The Democratic caucus in Minnesota also demands the passage of omnibus legislation.

Previous Clinton presidential elector Jasper Hendricks reportedly issued a warning saying that the “NPV compact is dangerously unstable.” He added that in the way the legislation is currently set up, the plan would manipulate the Electoral College” through the use of the state’s Congress. He proceeded to state that the logic behind the provision is similar to the logic used by former President Donald Trump’s supporters following the 2020 presidential race. He further argued that it suggests legislators have the power to “ignore” the desires of the citizens living in the state.
