(ConservativeHub.com) – On Friday, August 25, the reaction of Fox News host Jesse Watters to the mugshot of former President Donald Trump led to ridicule and jokes by social media users, according to a Newsweek report.

On Thursday evening, former President Donald Trump turned himself in at the Fulton County jail in Georgia following his indictment a week earlier in connection to an investigation led by District Attorney Fani Willis. During the booking, authorities took his mugshot. While Trump has been indicted three other times this year, this is the first time that he was forced to have his mugshot taken. It is also the first time a U.S. president, either former or current, has had their mugshot taken.

Trump has maintained that he committed no wrongdoings and has claimed that Willis’ investigation is politically motivated as he is currently running for the 2024 presidential election.

Cohost of the Five and host of Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime, Jesse Watters praised Trump for the mugshot and even claimed that he needed to get the Fulton County photographer to do his Christmas card. He added that Trump was looking “good” and “hard” in the mugshot.

A video of his remarks was posted by user Acyn on social media platform X, previously referred to as Twitter, where many users ridiculed him for the comment. The video has received over 26 million views on the platform as of September 1.

Newsweek shared the reactions a number of users. Emma Vigeland, the Majority Report Co-Host, for instance, took to X to write that Watters had thought Trump’s look was “so good that he might take the air out of his tires.”

Meanwhile, Comedian John Fugelsang also noted that he was wrong when he commented that it was impossible for Watters to say anything that was “funny.”
