(ConservativeHub.com) – Former First Lady Michelle Obama in a post on Instagram praised Beyoncé for her latest album “Cowboy Carter” and stated that she was “proud” of how the artist had reminded listeners of the power they hold, especially in regards to voting.

Obama stated that the artist’s latest album is a reminder of how, despite everything that has occurred, people can still be who they were unapologetically. She added that this album was a reminder that everyone has power and that there is power in “our history” and votes.

Michelle Obama continued by saying that this shows that people can use their talents and gifts in order to ensure that their voices will be heard on the issues that are most important to them.

This is the Grammy-winning artist’s eighth studio album, first released on March 29. Following its release, many political figures including Vice President Harris, Sheila Jackson Lee (D), Texas Reps. Colin Allred (D) and Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) have all released statements congratulating and praising Beyoncé, according to The Hill.

Harris took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank Beyoncé for the reminder that people should never be confined by what other people believe and what their perspective is. She added that with this album, the artist had “redefined a genre” while also reclaiming “country music’s Black roots.”

In an Instagram post prior to the release of the album, Beyoncé noted that this album had been created following an experience she had a number of years earlier where she had felt unwelcome.
