(ConservativeHub.com) – Mike Pence, the former Vice President under Donald Trump, has accepted a new job position. Grove City College, a conservative Christian institution in Grove City, Pennsylvania, announced on Thursday that Pence will be joining their faculty. He will be teaching a course and contributing his insights as the Distinguished Visiting Fellow for Faith & Public Life at the college’s newly established Center for Faith & Public Life.

Pence expressed his enthusiasm about this new role through a tweet on Thursday, April 11, following his participation in the annual conference held by The Institute for Faith & Freedom at the college. Accompanied by photos from the event, he conveyed his pleasure in meeting President Paul McNulty and engaging with the student body.

In this new capacity, Pence will explore the integration of Christian faith in public arenas. The center aims to bolster the influence of Christian principles in public institutions. In a statement, Pence said that faith and public engagement are “not mutually exclusive.” He remarked that throughout history, Christians dedicated to the public good have been catalysts for change. He praised Grove City College for its commitment to fostering these values among its students.

Pence also commended the college for its role in nurturing students’ faith and understanding of their divine vocation through a rigorous academic and faith-centered community environment. He highlighted the college’s mission to cultivate future leaders marked by integrity and principle.

Paul J. McNulty, President of Grove City College, also spoke highly of Pence, calling him an ideal candidate for the position. McNulty outlined the college’s focus on the vital interaction between faith and public duty, rooted in the vision of America’s Founding Fathers and the core Christian tenets of justice, mercy, and humility.

Describing Pence as a model of virtuous leadership in public office, McNulty emphasized that Pence’s extensive experience, including his roles as Congressman, Governor of Indiana, and Vice President, uniquely qualifies him to guide students at the Center.

In addition to teaching, Pence will be writing, speaking, and participating in various school events. His contributions are expected to enrich the college community significantly.

Since his departure from the vice presidency, Pence has authored the book “So Help Me God” and briefly entered the race for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election, although he has since suspended his campaign.
