(ConservativeHub.com) – According to a new memo from the House Oversight Committee, President Joe Biden’s daughter-in-law had gotten $25,000 from a Chinese entity through a conduit. This has led to increased scrutiny about the Biden family’s role in the business dealings made by President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden, Newsweek reports.
The committee had recently sent a subpoena that required the bank records for John Robinson Walker, who had been presented by State Energy HK Limited a $3 million wire payment in early 2017. His accounts then show that over the next three months, Walker’s account shows a number of disbursement payments made to members of the Biden family. Some of those payments added up to the $35,000 that Hallie Biden had received from the man. The origin of the additional $10,000 was not yet known.
The House Oversight Committee has just started to really probe into Hunter Biden, an election promise that had been made by the Republicans since before they claimed the majority in the House following the midterm elections in 2022. Republicans’ focus on Hunter Biden could also potentially have an effect on Joe Biden’s reelection attempt in 2024, Newsweek reported.
Hallie Biden, who was previously married to Beau Biden, was reportedly in a relationship with Hunter between the years of 2016 and 2019. This was around the time when the payments had been made.
The memo that came to light on March 16 shows significant amount of Robinson Walker LLC bank activity, particularly transfers coming out to almost $1.07 million to companies associated with Hunter Biden.
