(ConservativeHub.com) – On Sunday a video of a car crashing down the San Francisco steps went viral after being shared by the Twitter page FriscoLive415. It was viewed around 1.7 million times, but ultimately was removed “in response to a report by the copyright owner,” according to Twitter.

The video was captured on Saturday, with the San Francisco Fire Department confirming that the incident had taken place at around 7:15 p.m. In the footage, the car could be seen crashing the barriers at 19th Street before then making its descent down Sanchez Stairs. The initial footage was captured and shared by the YouTube channel Julia Brown in two videos that were taken from Nest security footage.

In the first of the two videos, the car is seen right before it crosses the barrier, while in the second video, the car’s descent can be seen. Following the crash, many witnesses tried to approach the car and help the passengers get out. One witness attempted to open the door completely, while two others rushed to the scene to help a passenger escape the car. Once all occupants were out of the car, they reportedly left the scene of the crash.

A fire truck made its way to the scene, where crews started asking questions to find out what happened. The San Francisco Fire Department also shared one of the photos taken from the scene on their Twitter page. The post noted that the collision had not resulted in any injuries and that all the occupants had managed to leave the scene.

It was later revealed that the incident began with a carjacking and that two people involved with the crash were arrested.
